Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Stan Ozark and Haylie Shipp wear many hats in Glasgow. Outside of being radio personalities, Ozark is a councilman and hospital foundation board member, while Shipp is the owner of Shippwrecked. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 5, Shipp and Ozark will host a new live talk show, "Live Under the Big Sky with Haylie and Stan," every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9 to 10 a.m.
The live program will feature stories on various aspects of Valley County and northeast Montana. Topics will include updates from the county commissioners, school news, city news, updates from Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, sports, agriculture and history, among many others.
The whole station will be involved in this live program, with Shipp and Ozark behind the microphone. As technology and the program moves forward, the hope is to be able to get outside of the studio and do the program live on location. Another future goal is allowing listeners to call in with comments and questions during the live broadcast. "There are a lot of stories out in our community and lots of great people doing great things," said Ozark. "This an opportunity to allow those stories to be told."
For the first show, on Sept. 5, Gov. Bullock will discuss issues surrounding eastern Montana and Mayor Erickson will also discuss city issues including the swimming pool, streets and levees. Other topics being covered during the first week will be the Valley View Home election and Fish, Wildlife and Parks discussing open season dates as well as fire safety.
