Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Dr. Andy Fahlgren Returns to Glasgow

The Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital is proud to welcome Glasgow native Andrew Fahlgren, MD, to the Glasgow Clinic. Dr. Fahlgren was originally born in Lewistown but spent the majority of his childhood in Glasgow and Fort Peck. He is a proud Glasgow Scottie and graduated from GHS in 2000. After getting his bachelor's degree in english literature from MSU Bozeman, he spent a year in Chicago working at a bookstore and re-evaluating his goals, finally deciding to go back to school to pursue a medical degree. He continued his education back in Bozeman, getting his graduate degree in Cell Biology and then received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Iowa. Dr. Fahlgren specializes in internal medicine, and also focuses on intensive care medicine, end of life medicine and preventative care.

Dr. Fahlgren has made a point to credit much of his success to Connie Brunelle, FMDH and the Glasgow community where he was able to job shadow, establish connections and affordably get his EMT and CNA certifications. These tasks can be especially difficult coming from a small town, but ultimately it worked to his advantage. Although it wasn't necessarily always his goal to come back to Glasgow, he decided that if he was to ever come back now would be the time to do it. He is excited to get involved in the community alongside his parents, find a house and a boat, and settle in.

If you are interested in making an appointment with Dr. Fahlgren call the Glasgow Clinic at 406-228-3400.
