Thomas Link

Thomas H. Link, 65, of Thornton, Colo., and formerly of Kankakee, Ill., passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, in Kankakee.

He was born Dec. 29, 1951, in Kankakee, the son of Robert and Rita Russell Link. He married Karen Helland-Flint in May of 1991.

He had worked for the Chicago Tribune and the Denver Post. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors are his wife, Karen, of Thornton, Colo.; sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Avory Link of Williamsburg, Va., Tyler Link of Peru, and Matthew Link of Thornton; stepsons, Daniel and Jamie Flint of Maricopa, Ariz., and Aaron and Jessica Flint of Billings; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana Hall of Kankakee, and Cindy Carpenter of Bradley; eight grandchildren; an aunt and uncle, Mary Ann and Ed Curl of Manteno; and mother-in-law Joan Helland of Glasgow.

A private memorial service was held in Kankakee on Saturday, June 10.
