Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Brianna Overbey, in partnership with FMDH, hosted another art class, "Blooming Love,"' on June 17 at Prairie Ridge. The class was free of charge and was open to anyone, regardless of artistic ability.
This time around, the craft for the class was to draw cherry blossom trees on a white canvas. However each artist had the ability to utilize their own artistic abilities and draw whatever they wanted. Many families joined in on the craft, with each member creating their own piece of work and others creating masterpieces for Father's Day. Summer themed cut-out sponges were available for younger kids to utilize in order to create their own piece, while other kids took a more abstract approach.
This is the fourth class Overbey has hosted in partnership with FMDH, with crafts ranging from painting a mason jar for Valentine's Day to creating a leprechaun hat out of terra cotta pots to decorate the lawn or garden. Participants enjoy the class so much there are often returning faces and more families are joining in, which stresses the need for more family-friendly activities in the area.
The next class will be on Saturday, July 15, at Prairie Ridge. The class will be limited to 15 participants and sign-ups will be available on Facebook closer to the event. If you have any questions, you can contact Overbey at 406-861-4119 or e-mail at [email protected].
