Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Charlotte Ann (Lake) Larsen was called home at the age of 71, on Sunday, June 11, 2017. She was the wife of Rodney Larsen. They shared 33 years of marriage together.
Born in Sidney, Mont., she was the daughter of Martin and Myrtle Lake. She was the youngest of six children.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Glasgow. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing piano, doing crossword puzzles, flowers, embroidery and soap operas, but loved nothing more than spoiling her grandchildren.
She married John Lundstrom and joined an immediate family with stepchildren, Cindy, Duane, Gary, John and Buddy. Together she and John had six children – Marty Lundstrom, Shon Lundstrom, Shane Lundstrom and his wife, Callie, Heather Hartsock and her husband, Kevin, Kristen Lundstrom and Amanda Peyton and her husband, Paul. They later divorced and she married the love of her life and amazing father to her children, Rodney Larsen. Together she and Rodney had LaToya Roth and LaTalya (Jason) Holt. She has 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She loved to play the piano and listen to her children and grandchildren sing. She taught them every nursery rhyme and also made up a few of her own.
She was an amazing cook and baker. She was well known for her pies, caramel rolls and homemade buns. Her recipes were all top secret – she never liked to share them with anyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Lake; and one grandchild, Kevin.
A service to celebrate her life was held Wednesday, June 14, at 1 p.m. at the Bell Mortuary in Glasgow. She loved God and is in her forever home.
I'm Still Here
I may be gone but please don't cry
Death is not the last goodbye.
Death releases me of my pain
There will come a day we will meet again.
Don't be blue and don't be sad
Think back to the fun we had.
I am always here, I hear you speak
In time of trouble it's me you seek.
You don't see me but I see you
I will do my best to pull you through.
Speak to me and I will hear
Never far, I am always near
Be brave my love do not cry
See you again it's not goodbye.
