Lilly A. Baker

Lilly A. (Toavs) Baker, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2017, surrounded by family.

She was born Feb. 17, 1923, to AF and Marie Toavs in Wolf Point, Mont.

She married Lloyd L. Baker Feb. 24, 1944. Together, they resided in Lustre on the Baker family farm and raised four children.

She was active in the EMB Church and the Gideon's International for many years. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting, quilting and playing the piano. She loved working alongside Lloyd on the farm and attending their children and grandchildren's sporting events. She loved her NY Yankees.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; 14 siblings, which include her identical twin sister, Lila; a daughter-in-law, Pat Baker; one grandson, Sean Averyt; and one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Baker.

She is survived by four children, Ginny Peare and her husband, Gene, Bob Baker, Loren Baker, and Shirley Averyt and her husband, Bob; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A celebration of her life was held at the Lustre Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church on Wednesday, March 29, at 10 a.m., followed by burial at the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Cemetery in Lustre.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Lustre Christian High School, and/or Gideon's International. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
