Glasgow 60, Harlem 43
Following senior night activities at Scottie Gymnasium on Thursday, the Lady Scotties took the court to face the Harlem Lady Wild Cats.
The starting five for the Scotties were Khloe Krumwiede, Lexi Nixdorf, Jordan Kulczyk, Tyra Johnson and Leinie Hughes, and each of the remaining players came off the bench for some time in the game.
In a fun, but fairly uneventful contest, Glasgow dominated, claiming each quarter over Harlem.
Offensively, Kulczyk led the way with 19 points, followed by Hughes with 15 and Johnson with ll.
Defensively, Krumwiede dominated with 10 rebounds and four steals. Hughes earned another double-double when she grabbed 14 boards, while Johnson fell just short of double digits in rebounds as she finished the game with nine total. The Lady Scotties completed 36 percent of their attempts at the free throw line, going 12 for 33.
Glasgow 39, Scobey 34
Saturday, Glasgow was on the road to Scobey and looking to answer an earlier loss to the Lady Spartans.
With Johnson and Nixdorf absent for the game, coach Travis Nielsen started juniors Ziggy Chamberlain and Demi Aune.
Chamberlain took advantage of the opportunity, scoring the first bucket of the game and contributing nine total points. She also finished with four rebounds and grabbed a steal.
Despite Scobey's determination, the Lady Scotties didn't back down and battled the whole game, handing the Lady Spartans a disappointing loss.
Kulczyk was a key player in the contest for the Lady Scotties, leading her team with a game high 13 points and five steals. Krumwiede and Hughes led in rebounds with six each, and Hughes scored 12 of the team's 39 points.
Coming up for Glasgow are two key games on the road against Malta and Wolf Point. On Thursday, Feb.9, the Scotties will take on the top-ranked Malta M-Ettes, then will travel to Wolf Point on Friday, Feb. 10 to meet the Lady Wolves on the hardwood.
