Joseph 'Joe' Alex Foster

Joseph "Joe" Alex Foster passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Roundup Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 23, 2017. Time and place will be posted on the Bell Mortuary website when plans are set.

He was the oldest of four children born to Russell and Loretta "Belle" Foster on March 5, 1948, in Glasgow, Mont. He lived most of his life in Glasgow, moving away for short periods of time but always returned home.

He had served in the US Navy from Aug. 23, 1967, to Oct. 30, 1970. It was after his discharge from the Navy that he met Kathleen "Kathy" Lubbes. They married on Sept. 15, 1974. He and Kathy had three children and loved and enjoyed 42 years of marriage.

He was always full of life and loved spending time with his family, especially spoiling his six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was always telling stories of his younger days and also loved his late-model vehicles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Loretta Foster; and one daughter, Dawn Marie Foster.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Foster; three children, Sean (Jessica Koterba) Foster, Danielle DeVore and her husband, John, and Carnell Foster; two brothers, Russell "Junior" Foster and his wife, Judy, and Roland Foster; a sister, Melody Foster; six grandchildren, Jessidiah, Brookelynn, Mary, William, Lisa and Lyndsy; one great-granddaughter, Eris; and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
