Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Resolve Montana is partnering with Glasgow High School during Superhero Night at the boys and girls basketball games against the Sidney Eagles on Jan. 19.
Students and families who attend the games are encouraged to sign a pledge to end prescription drug abuse. “There is a perception that prescription drugs are not as dangerous as illicit drugs,” said Montana Attorney General Tim Fox. “We need to start talking to our young people about why safe and responsible prescription drug use is so important. We need to lock up our meds without locking our kids out of the conversation.”
Attendees at the game can pick up fun, free giveaway items and obtain conversation starters to assist conversations about prescription drug abuse with loved ones. Information will also be provided regarding where prescription drugs can be safely disposed of across the state.
Glasgow has one permanent prescription drop box located within the Valley County Courthouse at 501 Court Street. Anyone who has unwanted prescription drugs can safely dispose of them in the red container located in the courthouse square with no questions asked. All items are promptly removed for proper disposal without inspection.
Resolve Montana is a public education campaign from the Montana Attorney General’s office. It focuses on educating and empowering Montanans to work together to decrease the number of deaths and hospital admissions in the state from prescription drug overdoses.
