Edna Lou Reddick Gutz, 67, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at her home in Shelton, Wash.
She was born July 10, 1949, to Robert and Nina Reddick in Glasgow.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held in Shelton this summer.
She attended schools in Ft. Peck and Glasgow, graduating from Glasgow High School in 1967. She went to Business College in Spokane, Wash., and worked as a telegrapher for the railroad along the Hi-Line for a time. Later at Hi Hat Drive-In.
She met Steven Gutz in 1971. They were married March 25, 1972, and they moved to Camas Wash. She was a rural mail carrier for over 15 years, retiring after back surgery.
In 2005 she was diagnosed with CIDP, a variant of Guillain Barre syndrome, an extremely rare neurological disorder. After several surgeries, she was able to get around with a walker and wheelchair the rest of her life.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Robert Reddick, in 2009; a sister, Charlotte Wright in 2003; four brothers, Stanley and Harold in 2008, Clifford in 2014 and David in 2016.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Gutz, of Shelton, Wash .; a daughter, Jennifer Gofer and her husband, Clay, of Sequim, Wash .; three granddaughters, twins Sierra and Haily, and Dana of Seuqim; her mother, Nina Reddick of Nashua; sisters-in-law, Susie Fletcher and her husband, Jim, of Shelton, Nikki Reddick of Orangevale, Calif., and Cathy Reddick of Mesquite, Texas; and many nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts and cousins.
