1-4 p.m. - Service officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting Glasgow VA Clinic and on Thursday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Malta City Hall. Bring a copy of your discharge paperwork DD214 with you. Veteran service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call 406-265-4225 if you are interested.

3 p.m. - The Valley County Transit Board meets at the Valley County Transit office (use the back door/east entrance).

10:30 a.m. - Glasgow Veteran's Day Program at the Glasgow Civic Center.
11 a.m. - A Veterans Day program at the Opheim School Gymnasium with guest speakers Owen and Sherry Childers. The Opheim Music students will also perform in the program. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

The 2016 Fall Conference will be held at the Glasgow Assembly of God Church located at 1220 10th St. North. Friday, Nov. 11, the conference will be at 6:30 p.m .; Saturday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m., 2 and 6:30 p.m .; and Sunday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. Pastor Jeff from the White Horse Christian Center will be the speaker.

HiLine Youth Hockey Assoc. invites boys and girls to the Valley Event Center for a “Try Hockey For Free” clinic as part of “Come Play Hockey Month,” starting at 3 p.m., with a pizza party to follow at 5:30 p.m. Local youth ages 4 to 9 are encouraged to experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basic skills in a fun, safe environment. 11 a.m. - The Opheim Community Church Harvest Celebration with special music, a guest speaker and will be followed by a potluck dinner. Everyone is invited.

MONDAY – NOV. 14
2 p.m. - Students of Saco and Hinsdale Schools invite veterans and the community to their Veterans Day Program. “We Honor the Brave,” at Hinsdale School.
4:30-6:30 p.m. - Indian Taco Supper at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Social Hall in Nashua. There will be a freewill offering and takeouts will be available. The supper is supported by Thrivent Financial. Everyone is welcome! This will be the last Taco Supper until January.
TUESDAY – NOV. 15
12 noon - The Fort Peck Senior Citizens annual Turkey Dinner at noon at the Fish Hatchery. Turkey, dressing, potatoes and gravy are covered. Please bring complementary items.
12-1 p.m. - Valley County Mental Health Local Advisory Council meets at FMDH South Conference Room (old Board Room). Anyone concerned about mental health in Glasgow should attend.
12-4 p.m. - Valley County Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents, located at 1020 1st Ave. N. is open the third Tuesday of every month. First-timers bring a photo ID and proof of physical residence. More info., Nancy Bowman at 263-1253.

MSU Extension Agent Roubie Younkin will offer the four-hour Food Handlers ServSafe Training. Times will be arranged to fit the schedules of those planning to attend. Preregistration is required by Nov. 7, so books may be ordered to accommodate all students. There will be a $15 charge to cover the books and class supplies. Please contact the Valley County Extension Office at 228-6241 for more information and to preregister for the class.

Noon to 2 p.m. - The 26th Annual Valley County Thanksgiving Day Dinner at the Glasgow Senior Citizens Center located at 328 4th Street South. Serving will take place from noon until 2 p.m. The meal is free of charge and all ages are welcome. There will be no carry-out or deliveries available.
