American Legion Post 41 Commander Rodney Ost honored four local WWII Veterans during an Oct. 20 joint meeting of the American Legion and Auxiliary 41. The WWII Veterans and Honorees were presented pins and certificates in recognition of their decades of dedication to their country. Pictured (l-r) are: Gordon Olsen, Adeline Mitchell, Kenny Newton and Mitch Etchart. Notably, Olsen has 29 years of service to the American Legion and Mitchell has been serving in the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 41 for 70 continuous years. Additionally, Newton has had 72 years of continuous service to the American Legion, and Etchart boasts 71 years of continuous service.
