SATURDAY – OCT. 15

Deadline to apply for GHS Educational Trust financial assistance for the Spring 2017 term. Apps must be postmarked or hand delivered to Danielle Anderson at First Community Bank by the 15th. More info at ghsedutrust.org.

Opheim freshmen and seniors Bake Sale during the all-day jamboree and JH games starting at 9 a.m.

11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Harvest Festival at the Pioneer Museum Glasgow. Free admission and a stew lunch served between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

5-7 p.m. - The Nashua Volunteer Fire Department annual Fall Dance and Fundraiser at the Nashua Civic Center. Serving from 5-7 p.m. with a meal of pulled pork, baked beans and baked potatoes. Live music by Trial By Fire will begin at 7 p.m. Cost is $6 per person at the door.

SUNDAY – OCT. 16

1:30 p.m. - The third Sunday of each month is a Social at the Nashua Senior Center. Those attending are asked to bring snacks.

1:30-5 p.m. - Everyone is invited to join the Nashua Senior Citizens at the Nashua Civic Center to celebrate the 40th anniversary of being chartered. Music by Three Amigos, refreshments, door prizes, and a raffle.

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

MONDAY – OCT. 17

5 p.m. - Nashua PTO meets at the Nashua School.

5 p.m. - Opheim School Board meeting at OHS.

TUESDAY – OCT. 18

12 Noon - The Fort Peck Senior Citizens’ quarterly meeting and potluck at the Fish Hatchery. They will be having “breakfast for lunch” and serving pancakes. Bring complementary items.

12-4 p.m. - Valley County Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents, located at 1020 1st Ave. N. is open the third Tuesday of every month. First-timers bring a photo ID and proof of physical residence. More info., Nancy Bowman at 263-1253.

WEDNESDAY – OCT. 19

1-4 p.m. - Service officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting Glasgow for those wanting to apply for benefits on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the VA Clinic and on Thursday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Malta at the Malta City Hall. Bring a copy of your discharge papers (DD214) with you. The service officers will visit nursing homes and assisted living centers by appointment only. Call 406-265-4225 if you are interested.

The annual FMDH Foundation Dinner at the Cottonwood Inn. A no-host social begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 6. Dinner tickets are $28 each or two for $50 and can be purchased by Mary Kate at the Foundation 228-3614 or any Foundation Board member: Jon Bengochea, Mikel Erickson, Shelly George, Somer Hoerster Becky Johnson, Carrie Mesman, Stan Ozark or Tracey Waarvik.
