Calendar of Upcoming Events in the Area

THURSDAY – SEPT. 8

12 noon - The Valley County Senior Citizens’ annual picnic at Bundy Park in Glasgow. Meat will be provided, followed by a tour of the Pioneer Museum after the meal. In case of rain, the picnic will be held at the Senior Center in Glasgow.

FRIDAY – SEPT. 9

Nashua Senior Citizens meet. A potluck meal will precede the business meeting. All senior citizens are welcome and encouraged to attend.

MONDAY – SEPT. 12

11:30 a.m. - Milk River Chapter DAR will meet at the Cottonwood Inn in Glasgow for a no-host lunch and business meeting.

4:30-6:30 p.m. - Indian Taco Supper in the Social Hall at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nashua. A free will offering will be taken. Take-outs will be available. Everyone is welcome.

TUESDAY – SEPT. 13

6 p.m. - The Nashua School Board will meet in the Nashua school library.

6 p.m. - Nashua American Legion Auxiliary Unit #104 will hold its first meeting of the season at the Nashua Senior Citizens’ building. For more info, call 746-3213.

7 p.m. - The Northeast Montana Land and Mineral Owners Association will meet Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Community Center in Froid. The meeting is open to the public.

WEDNESDAY – SEPT. 14

5 p.m. - Opheim School Board meets at OHS.

The Saskatoon Police Pipes & Drums Band will be a part of the Scottie Homecoming Parade on Friday, Sept. 16, at 2:30 p.m., the Scottie Booster Club tailgate party at GHS at 6 p.m., and performing during half time of the Scottie vs. Big Timber football game. On Saturday morning the band will perform at the Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast at the Cottonwood Inn & Suites at 9 a.m., continue on to Valley View Home at 10 a.m., Nemont Manor at 10:30 a.m., and to Prarie Ridge at 11a.m. They will also play at the start of the varsity volleyball game against Wolf Point at approximately 3 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., the annual Pub Crawl will begin at Sunnyside Golf Course.

TUESDAY – SEPT. 20

12-4 p.m. - Valley County Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents, each month is a Social at the Nashua Senior Center. Those attending are asked to bring snacks.

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

SUNDAY – OCT. 2

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

SUNDAY – OCT. 16

1:30 p.m. - The third Sunday of each month is a social at the Nashua Senior Center. Those attending are asked to bring snacks.

2 p.m. - Pinochle every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. Everyone welcome.

12-4 p.m. - Valley County Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents, located at 1020 1st Ave. N. is open the third Tuesday of every month. First-timers bring a photo ID and proof of physical residence. More info., Nancy Bowman at 263-1253.
