Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

On the Move with VCHD and FMDH

The Valley County Health Department, Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital and Northeast Montana Community Mental Health Center have joined together as the Valley County C.A.R.E. (Community, Access, Resources, Education) Coalition. Our mission is to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Valley County.

On the afternoon of Saturday, April 23, volunteers will be going door-to-door handing out a Valley County Health Needs Survey. The short questionnaire asks residents how they view the health status of our community and where we can make improvements. The survey will be completed much like the US Census; we need to find participants at 140 homes, in 20 geographic blocks in the county.

Any interested parties are invited to join us Saturday, April 23, at 9:30 a.m. at FMDH Conference room. Breakfast will be available. Volunteers will receive a gift bag and the opportunity to be in a drawing for two $25 Chamber Bucks certificates.

For more information please contact Connie Boreson at 228-6261.

VCHD and the City of Glasgow would also like to remind the public that the Community Stroll at Sullivan Trail (located behind Home Run Pond) is scheduled for Friday, April 22, from 4:30-6 p.m. Attendees are invited to enjoy the trail and receive a free gift from the health department. All ages are welcome!
