Changes Made to Rodeo Nights, Demolition Derby
After several years of limited night-time entertainment at the Northeast Montana Fair, the fair board has successfully booked recording artists Emerson Drive and J.T. Hodges to perform at the 2016 NEMT Fair.
Partnering with the NE MT Fair Board to bring this caliber of entertainment to Glasgow were the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, Glasgow Tourism Business Improvement District, Milk River Motor Sports, KLTZ/KLAN, and the Glasgow Rodeo Committee. "These groups are heavily vested in this concert," said fair board committee member Haylie Shipp. "We hope to rejuvenate this part of our Northeast Montana Fair, adding energy to the entire event."
The Grammy-nominated country band, Emerson Drive, is best known for their hits "I Should Be Sleeping", "Fall Into Me", and "Moments". The band has toured with Toby Keith, Shania Twain and Big & Rich among other artists.
J.T. Hodges, a songwriter and a recording artist, earned an ACM nomination for Best New Artist of the Year in 2012. Concert-goers should recognize his singles, "Sleepy Little Town" and "Goodbyes Made You Mine". Hodges has toured with Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Eli Young Band, and Toby Keith amongst others.
Tickets for the July 29 concert will go on sale Monday, March 14 and can be purchased from the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture or at KLTZ/KLAN in Glasgow.
Other fair changes in 2016 include moving the PRCA Rodeo performances to Wednesday and Thursday. The fair will conclude with the much-anticipated demolition derby on Saturday evening.
