Jim O. Storkson

Jim O. Storkson, 76, former Hobson, Great Falls and Glasgow resident, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 26, 2015, in a Lewistown Nursing Home of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 7, 1939, the son of Clarence and Rachel (Beck) Storkson in Glasgow, Mont. He received his schooling in Glasgow, and in 1957 he entered the United States Marine Corps, serving until 1961. He then returned to Glasgow and worked as a mechanic for Newton Motors. In the early 2000s, he moved to Great Falls and later to Hobson. He entered the nursing home earlier this year.

He was preceded in death by his two wives, his parents and one sister.

Survivors include two sisters, Caroline Podrez of Havre, and Edna Fleming of Nashua; two brothers, Charles Storkson of Gettysburg, S.D., and Levon "Smiley" Johnson of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Friday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m. in the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow with a reception following at the Elk's Lodge. The Cloyd Funeral Home in Lewistown was assisting the family.
