Sheriff's PSA: Dispatch

On Saturday, Oct. 24, a new generator is being installed at the Valley County Courthouse, necessitating interruptions in electrical and other services. According to Sheriff Glen Meier, “This could intermittently affect dispatch and our ability to take incoming calls.” Interruptions may occur between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. All affected calls will be rerouted to Phillips County dispatch. Non-emergency calls to 228-4333 may be interrupted as well. The public is encouraged to try two alternate numbers: 263-4333 and 263-4334. Meier adds, “We will still be dispatching fire, police, ambulance and all emergency services. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
