Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Clara Ann (Pehan) Rasmusan, 71, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, with family by her side in Glasgow, Mont.
She was born the third of ten children to Anthony and Leonie Pehan on March 20, 1944, in Opheim, Mont. She attended grade school in Glentana and graduated from Opheim High School in 1962. Soon after she moved to Glasgow and met the love of her life, Jerry Rasmusan. They were married on August 17, 1963, in Glentana, and together they had four children.
Her most recent employment of 20 years was with Milk River Activity Center as a direct support professional. Prior to this, she spent 10 years as an office manager for Valley View Nursing Home. She was the ultimate supporter of her children and grandchildren, traveling countless miles to attend all their sporting events and activities. She had a kind and giving soul and always brought out the best in any gathering. She enjoyed playing cards, shooting darts, bowling, reading, watching the Broncos, and loved her animals.
She was a member of the Lady Elk's, the Degree of Honor, and enjoyed participating in weekly Bible studies. In May 2011, she was diagnosed with cancer and fought a brave battle for the past four years. She was courageous and never allowed her illness to separate her from the joy of her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Anthony and Leonie; in-laws, Shorty and Rena Rasmusan; a brother-in-law, Aloie Kimmet; two nieces, Patricia Schiefelbein and Melissa Greenhagen; and a nephew, Joshua Redmon.
