Brian F. Martz

Brian F. Martz, 48, born in Anaconda, Mont., to Janet Martz and the late Dallas Martz, passed away in Spokane, Wash., on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015.

He has been cremated, and per his request, no public services will be held.

He attended school in both Glasgow and Great Falls. He was an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad for several years before retiring.

He enjoyed camping and rafting with family and friends, taking long rides, and had a passion for cooking. He was known and appreciated for opening his backyard and barbecue to all for countless celebrations.

His wonderful sense of humor drew everyone he met to him and he kept many lifelong friends along the way. We all saw his heart shine for each and every one of us. He was a true family man.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Martz, of Livingston; grandparents Albert and Leah Walker of Glasgow and Wanda Bookout and Robert Martz of Livingston.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, at the family home; three stepchildren, Jessica, Ashley and Kevin; his mother, Janet Martz, of Spokane; a sister, Galinda Braga; a niece, Abigail, of Encino, Calif.; a sister, Linda Milks, of Sparks, Nev.; three grandchildren who meant the world to him; and his stepfather, John Williams.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
