Beatrice Jensen Koon, 85, went to be with God on Friday, July 31, 2015.
Her faith in God carried through her life. Her trust in Jesus as her Savior gave her peace. Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial will be held Sunday, Aug. 9, at 1 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point.
She was born on May 23, 1930, to Henry and Katheryn Peterson in Burleigh, ID. After the tragic death of her mother in 1940, she was raised by Lynwood and Lorraine (sister) Hickel. They brought her to Wolf Point in 1946.
She worked at Gillette Pharmacy's Soda Fountain, Mountain Bell Telephone, JC Penney as a bookkeeper, and The Fad. She married Jerry Jensen on June 30, 1949.
After the death of Jerry on Feb. 2, 1989, she moved to Oregon where she met and married Waitman Koon and relocated in Johnstown, Ohio. After Waitman's death, she moved to Glasgow, residing at Nemont Manor and Valley View Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by nine siblings, and her daughter-in-law, Jeri Ellen Jensen.
Survivors include Pam and Jerry Galster, Dewayne Jesen; five grandchildren, Christopher, Tamra, Kara, Jaymie, and Wendy; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
