Carrie Ruth (Brooks) Smith, 57, of Billings, Mont., passed away April 15, 2015, at Billings Clinic with family by her side.
She was born Feb. 8, 1959, in Glasgow, one of three children born to Elbridge "Bill" Paul Brooks Jr. and Grace Marlene Brooks.
She graduated from Frazer High School and then went to Northern Montana College. She was a branch manager for Cenex (Zip Trip).
She maintained a sense of humor and always had a good hearty laugh for all who were around her. She was always ready to help her family in anyway. Her favorite job was being a grandmother. She loved to travel especially to her favorite gambling place in Deadwood, S.D., and Branson, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and daughter, Natasha Lias.
Survivors include three children, Sarah Cheatham of Casper, Wyo., Nathan Boedeker of Moore, Okla., and Jessica Boedeker of Colorado Springs, Colo .; 10 grandchildren, Andrea, Keri Ann, Makynnah, Arquez, Bailee, Javon, Lane, Anthony, Hailee Dae and Raedyn; three siblings, Barry Brooks and his wife, Theresa, of Aurora, Colo., Twyla Sockness of Missouri and Doug Boedeker of Indiana; special friends Karina Serrano and Darcy Ziegler; two nephews, Eric Smith and Rory Anderson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and her extended Cenex work family.
A memorial service and reception was held Sunday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Memorials can be sent to Barry Brooks, 710 S. Granby Circle, Aurora, CO 80012. Condolences may be sent to the family at http://www.cfgbillings.com through "Our Families."
