Patricia Ann Hayes

Patricia Ann (Farley) Hayes, 79, of Glasgow, Mont., passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital after a short illness.

She was born on July 14, 1935, in Havre, Mont., to Michael and Marion (Weeks) Farley and was the fourth of five children. She attended Havre High School. In 1952 she married Edward Kirchdoerfer and they had two children, they later divorced. On June 25, 1960, she married Robert Cook. Together they had four children. After her divorce from Robert, she met and married Jim Hayes.

She dedicated her life to helping others and became the first CNA at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow. She also lived and worked in Havre for several years. The most important thing in her life was family and was known by many as Grandma Pat. She loved to cook, read, bowl and do search-a-words. Spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids was what made her happiest in life. She enjoyed traveling all over with her sister, Junie, and brother-in-law, Ted.

She was preceded in death by one son, William "Willie" Kirchdoerfer; two siblings, Joyce McNabb and James Farley and his wife, Dolly; and two grandchildren, Hanna and Ty Cook.

Survivors include five children, Pam Dodson and her husband, John, Carole Kickland and (Jay Brownson), Scott Cook, Diana Cole and her husband, Jubal, all of Glasgow and Julie Jenssen and her husband, Steve, of Pierre, S.D .; siblings, William 'Bill' Farley and his wife, Ellen, of Hayden, Idaho, and Virginia "Junie" Lilly and her husband, Ted, of Pasco, Wash .; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two special adopted grandchildren.

Services were held at the Assembly of God Church in Glasgow on Wednesday, April 15, at 2 p.m., with a reception following at the Cottonwood Inn at 4 p.m. A memorial fund has been set up at Valley Bank.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow was in charge of arrangements
