James "Bus" DeDobbeleer, 83, passed away from natural causes on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Mont.
At his request, private family services will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Fort Peck Cemetery in Fort Peck. Interment will be in the Fort Peck Cemetery.
He was born on Dec. 3, 1931, in Toppenish, Wash., to Roy and Helen (Czyzeski) DeDobbeleer. He moved with his family to Glasgow in 1932 and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1949.
He was in the Navy for four years.
He and Linnell Dolson were married in Hawaii on Jan. 18, 1958. He worked for the Fort Peck Corps of Engineers for 25 years and farmed for 57 years. He was a honest, hard-working, caring man. He could fix anything, and if a part could not be found, he would invent it.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dee.
Survivors include his wife, Linnell, of Fort Peck; three daughters, Lani DeDobbeleer of Glasgow, Marcy Moriarty and her husband, Joe, of Bozeman, and Sherri Nielsen and her husband, Wes, of Great Falls; grandsons, Bryan Schoenfelder and his wife, Lanna, of Lewistown, Kyle, Tyler and Collin Moriarty; one granddaughter, Ashlee Nielsen of Great Falls; two great-grandsons, James and Carter Schoenfelder; brothers, Don DeDobbeleer and his wife, Marla Jan, of Glasgow and Barry DeDobbeleer of Seattle.
Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
