Beverly B. (Elfring) Olsen, 80, passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Valley View Nursing Home.
A Memorial services will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow.
She was born Dec. 9, 1934, in Fort Peck, Mont., to William and Carrie (Jensen) Elfring. She was the youngest of nine children.
She married George Olsen Nov. 1, 1952, at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow. They resided on the family farm west of Glasgow, where they raised their four children. George passed away on Oct. 26, 1985. Beverly continued to live and work on the farm until moving to Prairie Ridge in the Spring of 2011.
She was known for her quilting, sewing and gardening talents. As an accomplished gardener, the yields of her gardens and sewing projects were regular entrants and blue-ribbon winners at the Valley County Fair.
Cherished friendships were made throughout the years, especially with those of fellow vendors at the local Farmer's Market and with residents and staff at Prairie Ridge.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband George; three sisters, Carnellia Elfring, Elenora Elfring, Lillian Voelsch; and two brothers, Bud Elfring and Carl Elfring.
Survivors include four children, Darcy Doke and her husband, Keith, of Blaine, Minn., Robert and his wife, Linda, of Glasgow, John and his wife, Tracy, of Miles City, and Carrie Wilson and her husband, DuWayne, of Scobey; two brothers, Herbert Elfring of Jackson, Mich., and Robert Elfring of Glasgow; one sister, Connie Potepan of Cantonsville, Md. 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
