Kiyoe Louise (Kotaki) Mapps, 80, of Crawfordsville, Ind., died peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, in hospice care while surrounded by loving family.
A private burial will be held in Montana with interment in the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.
She was born in Glasgow, Mont., to Lottie and Art Kotaki, and graduated from Montana State College in Bozeman. She worked as a medical technologist in Oregon, Illinois and Indiana.
She and her husband, Howard, met in a Civic Theater production in Fort Wayne, Ind., and were married in Geneva, Ill. Their daughter, Sarah, was born in 1966. The family also lived in Ridgewood, N.J., for several years. When Howard retired, the family moved to Crawfordsville, Ind., where she worked at Wabash College (Howard’s alma mater) for nearly 20 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Sarah; one sister, Ruth; and one brother, Jack, and their families.
Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
