The Ice Dawgs Squirts travelled to Butte for the four-game MAHA festival last weekend. They went 4-0.
The Dawgs would take on Butte early in Saturday morning – and take the early lead on the scoreboard. Peyton Hubbard started the scoring on Trevor Dulaney's assist.
The scoring would only continue from there. Dylan Hlad chipped one in. Michael Hoyer added another. Dulaney put one in off Jack Cornwell's assist and Colter Barnett would tally six in the match.
Tatum Hansen turned back all seven shots for the 10-0 win and the team's first shutout.
Glasgow faced Helena in the next game, with Helena leading off on the scoreboard. Barnett would answer that goal immediately and add another five after that.
Helena managed another point on the board, but Glasgow would not let up. Hubbard scored off Hoyer and Kummerfeldt, with Dulaney adding a point. Hansen earned the 8-2 win, turning back 14 of the 16 shots.
Facing Helena again late that night, and down players from illness, the Dawgs took the 6-2 win. Barnett tallied four points, with Hubbard and Hlad each adding a point. Between the pipes, Alex Huber turned back 16 of 18 shots.
A final game against Butte had the Dawgs trying out a slightly different style of play. Staying creative in the offensive zone, the Dawgs would tally 10 points in the game. Hubbard added four, Barnett scored two, with Hlad and Wilkowski each adding one. Huber turned back all nine shots for the 10-0 shutout.
The Dawgs defense grows stronger each game, making it tough for opponents to break through. With the team now undefeated in MAHA play, they look to their next festival in Havre to continue to grow their game.
