Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
The call came in close to midnight on Wednesday, Dec. 3. A semi went under the underpass in Glasgow and was a bit too tall for the 12-foot, 3-inch limit. The truck was hauling over 40,000 pounds of pork that had to be moved into another refrigerated truck before Thompson Trucking could pull the truck out. They worked to clear the cargo until close to 2 a.m. Thursday. The driver, Elena Sivert of Concord, Ontario, made it about halfway through the underpass while her husband slept in the sleeper cab. She was charged with careless driving. – Bonnie Davidson
