Edward E. Williams, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at his home in Nemont Manor in Glasgow, Mont.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Bell Chapel in Glasgow. There will be a private interment.
He was born Aug. 22, 1934, in Gary, Ind., the son of Charles and Gladys (Forbes) Williams.
He attended schools in Gary and then joined the U.S. Navy. He was an iron worker in Indiana for U.S. Steel. He lived in California for about 30 years and he spent 10 years in the recycling business. He was never married.
He really enjoyed the Cubs and the 49'ers, playing games with his great-nieces and -nephews, and watching Wheel of Fortune. He was a long-time companion of 20 years with Bobbie Walker of Glasgow.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Donald Ahlders.
Survivors include nieces and nephews: Skip and Melanie Cronmiller of Glasgow, Diane and Bill Stanfield of Alabama, Dennis and Peggy Ahlders of Colorado; great-nieces, Angela Kratzer and Erin Cronmiller of Glasgow, and many other great-nieces and -nephews.
Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
