Dear Editor:
I brought two of my grandkids to Glasgow for two weeks and knew the fair was going to be there while we were there. I told the kids we would go to that fair instead of going to the Helena fair.
THERE WERE NO PARK BENCHES FOR US TO SIT AT WHILE OUR KIDS AND GRANDKIDS WERE ON RIDES. I am a three-time cancer patient and am still suffering from that night.
Why do they NOT supply benches for the elderly? I was appalled that no one cares about making sure their citizens can go with their kids and grandkids to have a good time while the fair is there.
I will NEVER go to the Glasgow fair again. My money will be spent on everything we need BEFORE we get to Glasgow to visit family and friends. The fair board doesn't seem to care about the citizens of Glasgow. I made sure I did NOT spend a dime that Glasgow would get. This is my hometown, and I will never support anything there EVER again.
I did call the fairgrounds and spoke with a young lady who could not do anything about it. If the complaint did get to someone else, nothing was done about it.
I was told that the carnival was NOT part of the Glasgow fair. BUT the carnival is set up at the GLASGOW FAIRGROUNDS. The fair committee is responsible for the fairgrounds. If you are going to hold an office with the fairgrounds, you need to make sure it is an enjoyable experience for everyone in every aspect of your fairgrounds.
What would it take to grab two or three benches and put them out there for the elderly and disabled? Good job, Glasgow!
