Gary Brian Lair

Gary Brian Lair, 54, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, in Moscow, Idaho.

He was born Feb 8, 1960, in Klamath Falls, Ore. He was raised in Glasgow, Mont., where he graduated high school in 1978. He served in the Air Force and the Army.

He graduated from the University of Great Falls in 1984 and achieved his master’s degree. He later became a professor and taught at many colleges.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, stepfather, aunts and uncles.

Survivors include three sons, Lyle Lair, Gary Lair II and Sean Lair, all of Idaho; the mother of his children Anna Munoz-Lair, of Germantown, Md .; his mother, Twila Classen, of Great Falls; four sisters, Judy Catalano of Puyallup, Wash., Helen Simons of Sumner, Wash., Pamela Mashtare of Greenacres, Wash., and Jacquelyn Vlasak of Tacoma, Wash .; lifelong friends Doug and Dennis Ost from Malta; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.

Service were held May 21 at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moscow Humane Society in Honor of Gary B. Lair.
