Clarice R. Viste, 93, passed away from natural causes on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Valley View Home in Glasgow.
She was born on Aug. 29, 1920, on the family farm near Nashua, the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Gaukstad) Viste. She was a lifelong resident of Nashua, attending Nashua Schools. She worked for many years at the Home Café and Nashua Senior Citizens Center in Nashua. In 2003 she moved into Nemont Manor in Glasgow.
She loved to crochet special gifts for her family; she also enjoyed scrapbooking, puzzles, bowling, bingo and was an avid sports fan.
She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nashua and the American Legion Auxiliary #104.
Preceding her in death were one sister, Nina, and one brother, Kermit.
Survivors include one brother, Kenneth Viste, and his wife, Kay, of Boise, Idaho; one sister-in-law, Jean Viste of Glasgow; three nephews, Rick Viste and his wife, Lori, Ron Viste and his wife, Jeri, and Bill Viste and his wife, Stephanie; six nieces, Connie Cannon, Cindy Anderson and her husband, Tim, Raylene Viste, Glenda Viste, Lynette Viste and Karen Viste-Sparkman and her husband, Stuart ,; great-nephews and nieces, Tyler and Kyle Viste, Tessa and Hannah Anderson and Sandy, Nolan, Ethan and Kevan Viste.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nashua, followed by interment in the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.
Bell Mortuary of Glasgow was in charge of arrangements.
