Burglary Suspect In Custody

Rash Of Burglaries A Concern; People Reminded To Lock Up

At least half a dozen burglaries have taken place in Valley County and Glasgow over the last few weeks.

At Monday’s City Council meeting ,Lt. Trint Gamas said that investigators had one possible suspect in custody – but there may be another.

“We just need to remind people to lock their doors on their car doors and their houses,” Gamas said during the council meeting.

Later Gamas said in an interview that a female suspect was taken into custody at the county jail last week. She was not identified.

One burglary still remains unsolved in Glasgow.

Gamas said that there isn’t a time of year that is worse than others for such criminal activity, but people need to be aware.

Valuable items left in plain sight in vehicles can tempt burglars to break in. Dark alleys and back doors are also areas that may be vulnerable to theft. A few preventative measures can prevent lost or stolen items.
