Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
I thought that I didn’t have any “Remembers” to share today as I had taken a four-day weekend of R & R. However, we opted to bring our 2-year-old great-grandchildren home with us and opted not to bring a DVD along.
I did remember all of the funny songs that you could make up or sing, making the miles go faster, as well as some of the other fun things our parents used to do to keep the kids occupied.
Of course, car seats limit some of the activities, which included standing up in the back seat watching out the windows for semi trucks, trains, animals, farm equipment, etc., but we did manage to watch for some of those things.Traveling with little ones is definitely easier with two, but in the “Remember” time we most all had that luxury and used those types of entertainment.
Of course, none of our parents could have imagined traveling with portable TVs, iPads and Kindles, the current traveling aids.
