Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Dear Editor:
My wife and I are traveling through Montana with our horses in a trailer with living quarters. When we came through Glasgow (the week of June 16), we were having a difficult time finding somewhere to stall or pasture our horses overnight.
When my wife contacted Shady Rest, the lady manager offered to call the fairgrounds to check on availability. By the time we arrived, she had made arrangements and we went straight there where we were met by Whitney,a very pleasant and helpful young lady who immediately went to work helping us to find a secure place with water.
Later, when I returned to feed them, I carelessly backed into a mud pit. A man appropriately named Smiley saw my predicament and took me back to my trailer to get a chain, and then used his own pickup to tow me out.
I can’t tell you how great the impression these friendly, cheerful and helpful people made on us. We will remember Glasgow as an extra friendly community with first class people! Thanks so much.
