Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
1925-2013

She was born on Oct. 23, 1925, in Miles City, Mont. The youngest of 14 children and the last remaining. She was a hard-working daughter of Hermin and Marie Jilge and when you have that many brothers you are tough, too.
The oldest was a girl and the youngest was Hermina. She spent most of her adult life in Glasgow, until moving to Sheridan 26 years ago. She had lived the last 15 years at Heritage Towers.
She learned to play games on the computer and was often yelling Bingo, and loved playing Rummy, Kings Corner and Rummy Cube. She often visited friends in the hospital and nursing homes. She had an outstanding memory for dates and numbers, and when you drove down the interstate and she saw a Montana car, she always knew what the name of the county was by the number. She loved her scooter chair.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church while in Glasgow and now in Sheridan. She worked at the Valley Drug Store and Johnny Cafe in Glasgow.
Her hero was John Wayne. She had T-shirts, mugs, glasses, pictures and clocks of his, plus every movie he ever made.
She was preceded in death by one sister; 12 brothers; one son, Pete; and a granddaughter, Vicki.
Survivors include one son, Doug Donoho and his wife, Connie, of Burbank, Calif .; two granddaughters, Lori Ann and Patty of Burbank; one grandson, Anthony, of Denver, Colo .; a niece, Mary DeTavernier of Sheridan, Wyo .; a great-niece, Tina Evans and her husband, Jake, of Buffalo, Wyo .; and a great-great-niece, Katilyn Evans, of Buffalo.
