Sadie Mae Blount

Sadie Mae Blount, 66, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, of natural causes at the Circle Hospital in Circle, Mont.

A vigil service was held Sunday, April 28, at 7 p.m. at the Cansuska Presbyterian Church in Frazer.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at the Frazer High School Gymnasium in Frazer with interment in the Oswego Presbyterian Cemetery in Oswego.

She was born on Sept. 20, 1946, in Poplar, Mont., the daughter of Harry Follet Sr. and Mildred (White) Follet. She was raised in the Oswego and Frazer area and attended Frazer Schools.

On Nov. 9, 1963, she married Harold Dean Blount at his mom’s house in Frazer. They raised their family of nine children in Frazer. She was an excellent homemaker. She loved playing bingo (actually won a 99 Dodge Neon), spending time with her family, and attending all her grandsons' sporting events and ball games. She was very proud of Markell at the State Cross Country Meet, placing in the top ten.

She was a member of the Cansuska Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. She raised three grandsons as her own, Jaylan, Markell and Korbin Blount.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Follet Sr. and Mildred Follet, Abel, Harry Jr., Elvis, and a beloved sister, Arlene Gomez.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Blount, of Frazer; three daughters, Carol Wallette and her husband, Karl, of Wolf Point, Vicki Dahl and her husband, Tom, of Williston, N.D., and Melanie Blount and Mike Cole of Frazer; five sons, Thomas L. Blount of Frazer, Richard Blount and his wife, Phoebe, of Wolf Point, Waylan Blount and his wife, Michelle, of Wolf Point, Roger White Sr. of Wolf Point, and Russell White and his wife, Lupe, of Oswego; a brother, Tyrus Follet and his wife, Fern, of Wolf Point; grandchildren, Nicholas Blount and his wife, Faye, Rosina Blount, Sharla Bushman, Clint Bushman, Jaylan Blount, Markell Blount, Korbin Blount, Caleb Blount, Brenna Blount, Shoni Blount, Joey Blount, Justin, Nicole, Roger Jr., Amanda, Jake, Kayla White and Colleen Martell; two great-grandchildren, Logan Bushman-Corne and Keely Blount Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
