    The stretch run is upon us! With only three weekends remaining, the Highlanders split up this past weekend at the “Border Brawl” in Plentywood and at the Montana Middle School State Wrestling Championships in Lewistown. It was another banner weekend for our GWC kids of all ages. In Plentywood, we entered an event-best 35 wrestlers. The small inter-divisional meet featured 167 kids from eight local clubs.     The PeeWee Ice Dawgs saw their season come to end at the State Tournament in Missoula this past weekend with a third place finish. Glasgow went 1-2-1 on the weekend. Glasgow ended their game against Flathead in the opening round on Friday knotted at 5 on the scoreboard.     Glasgow’s Bantam Ice Dawgs traded 5-3 final scores with the Williston Coyotes in a pair of games on Sunday at the Valley Event Center with the visitors taking the first game. In the first of two non-conference games the Coyotes took a 3-2 lead in the first period. Williston scored the first two before Glasgow answered.     Glasgow rolled through the state tournament in Miles City the past weekend undefeated and beat the Helena Bighorns for the third time in four match-ups over two weeks to win the Ice Dawgs their first-ever High School championship.     Glasgow’s 19U Ice Dawgs finished their season in Havre with a fourth-place finish at the state tournament. The Dawgs fell to the Flathead Fusion 5-2 in their first game on Friday.     The PeeWee Ice Dawgs dropped their first game against the Billings Bulls, 4-3, on Saturday. But they rebounded to take their second game by a score of 3-2.
