    The Lustre Christian boys basketball team’s final weekend went the same way as the rest of the season – victorious. The Lions defeated the North Country Mavericks 69-32 Friday night in Hinsdale and beat the Dodson Coyotes 60-43 at home on Saturday. Lustre Christian led 16-7 after one against North Country and 26-18 at the half. A 23-point third quarter put them up 49-24 heading into the final eight minutes.     The North Country Mavericks picked up a conference win in their final week of the regular season, defeating the Dodson Coyotes 57-47 in Whitewater Feb. 8. Friday night they fell 69-32 to the Lions in Lustre. The Mavericks surged in the second half in Frazer Saturday night but found themselves on the wrong end of the 50-46 score at the end of the game. The Porcupines fell to the Scobey Spartans 45-24 on Friday and lost 54-27 to the Richey/Lambert Fusion on Saturday. The Bearcubs fell on the road to the Dodson Coyotes 80-53 Friday but rebounded to win at home, 50-46, over the North Country Mavericks on Saturday.     The Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture held their 24th Annual Ice Fishing Derby this past Saturday at the Dredge Cuts Trout Pound. Jaxsen Diesen, a 9-year-old from Miles City, caught the tournament winning fish on his grandfather Joel Reagor's hole. He snagged a 0.48 lb. rainbow trout at 12:16 p.m. for the $2000 first prize.
