The Scottie Speech and Drama team is sending seven members to the B/C State meet in Huntley Project this weekend. Glasgow earned a third place finish at the Eastern B/C Divisional Meet in Plentywood on Saturday. The Scottie girls basketball team added two non-conference wins to their record this past weekend. Glasgow defeated the Class C Scobey Spartans 34-32 Thursday night and then defeated the Class A Eagles in Sidney Friday night by a 20-point margin, 49-29. Glasgow took a 16-8 lead after one quarter in Scobey and led 22-15 at the half. They fended off the Spartans rally in the second half as Scobey outscored Glasgow 10-5 in the third. What an outstanding opening weekend for our Highlanders down in Miles City at the "Little Cowboy"! We entered a huge contingent of 44 boys and girls on Sunday and walked out of the event with 13 Individual CHAMPIONS and 30 top-3 place winners. Just an outstanding first meet with ONLY THREE practices under our belts. We finished in 4th place as a team out of 18 clubs with 185.5 points. Just 12 points out of first. Another great weekend for the Highlanders! This weekend we had 19 wrestlers competing at the Baker Invitational and the Wild West Championships in Casper, Wyoming. In Baker, our grapplers managed nine top 3 finishes and three individual championships. Glasgow grapplers Jake Kuka, Devon Nesbitt, Damien Nesbitt, Mason Donaldson and Kyler Hallock all earned Top Five finishes at the Cowboy Classic in Miles City the past weekend. Hallock won the 205 lb. class 3-2 over Stran Selman of Huntley Project, marking his third title of the 2021-2022 season. Damien Nesbitt also defeated a Red Devil for his title in the 170 lb. class.
