Glasgow's 2022 season came to an end in two games at the All-Class State Volleyball Tournament in Bozeman this past weekend. Glasgow was the only Class B athletic program in the state to put all four of their teams - Girls Cross Country, Boys Cross Country, Football and Volleyball - into the final eight in this year's postseason. The girls cross country team finished fourth at state while the boys cross country team places seventh. The Bantam Ice Dawgs started the 2022-23 season with a tournament in Sidney this past weekend. The Dawgs posted a 1-2-1 record in their season debut and brought home third place. Glasgow fell to Watford City by an 8-3 margin in game one Friday evening. Their game against Richland Saturday morning ended in a 6-6 draw. Glasgow faced an uphill – and across-the-state – battle Nov. 5 when they faced the top-ranked Class B football team in the state in the state quarterfinals. Glasgow's football squad advanced to the State Quarterfinal Playoff Game by defeating two opponents Saturday: the Baker Spartans and the Scotties, themselves. Nashua fell to Culbertson in the first round then defeated Frazer to advance to the third round where they lost to Fairview. The Scottie Field Recharged Committee met on Oct. 24 at the Glasgow Chamber Office. They are hoping to have professional plans and cost figures by the first of the 2023 year at the latest. Fundraising efforts started in September and the committee wants to continue to run an aggressive funding campaign for one year to raise as much funds as possible. The highest score possible in a game of bowling is 300 and when achieved the bowler throws a perfect game. Chris George, of Glasgow, achieved that on Oct. 18 during Tuesday night bowling league at El Cor Del Lanes.
