Glasgow's track teams ran away with the District 2B titles May 13 in Glasgow. The Scottie girls posted 225 team points for first, outpacing Malta, 141; Poplar, 66; Wolf Point, 48, and Harlem, 39. The Scottie boys won with 234 team points, ahead of Wolf Point, 135; Malta, 80; Harlem, 39, and Poplar, 31. The Scottie softball squad went 2-3 in their last week of regular season play of the 2023 season. Glasgow shut out Sidney at home May 9 for senior night. They went 1-3 at the East/West Challenge in Cut Bank Friday and Saturday. The Scotties lost to Ennis 16-5 and Mission/Arlo/Charlo (MAC) 14-3. The Scottie softball sluggers improved their record to 7-8, 4-3 in conference play, last week with two road wins. Glasgow traveled to Havre Friday where they downed the Class A Blue Ponies 13-0. They then overcame an 18-12 sixth inning deficit against the Cut Bank Wolves with a 13-run seventh run to win 25-18. After the inevitable delay to the start of Spring sports, the golf season is in full swing and the Scottie golf teams are ready. The Scotties rolled over Colstrip 22-0 in three innings before losing 7-1 to Shepherd Friday. Glasgow took a one-run win over Conrad, 8-7, and downed Shelby 20-1 in three innings on Saturday. After being confirmed early last week that the Glasgow Scotties softball team will travel to play the Quad at Colstrip, as it has been all season, the universe had other plans for the team. Kaitlyn McColly, of Hinsdale, was named North Star Athletic Association Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for her efforts in the Blue Hawk Games, the league announced Wednesday. The sophomore captured a pair of titles for Dickinson State in the Blue Hawk Games. She produced the NAIA ‘B’ provisional qualifying time in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 14.63 seconds.
