Eight teams made it to Fort Peck this weekend for the 13th Annual "Chappy" Memorial Co-Ed Softball Tournament and 14 games were played out on John Hahn Field. The Reds baseball team opened their 2023 season at the Doug Johnsrud Invitational in Watford City, N.D., this past week after canceling their home season-opener against Laurel June 3 due to field conditions. The Glasgow Kiwanis Swim Team opened their 2023 season in Plentywood this past weekend, marking the first time the athletes have been in a pool. Despite that, members of the Thunder team earned 18 top five finishes with five first place showings. Holt Huntsman led the Glasgow boys in three top places, winning the boys 50 free, 50 fly and 200 free in the 11-12 year old bracket. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is conducting an angling “creel” survey at one of the state’s largest and most popular warm water fisheries.
