Gabby Pierre placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.6 seconds, third in the 200 with a time of 28.5, second in the long jump with a 14-foot jump and third in high jump with a 4- 2 leap. A new advisory council appointed by Gov. Steve Bullock to develop measures to conserve Montana's sage grouse populations and sustain related land uses is set to meet in Helena, May 21-23. Several agencies are teaming up to offer a public information meeting on controlling Eurasian watermilfoil in Fort Peck Lake. The meeting is Friday, May 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Fort Peck Interpretive Center. Eurasian watermilfoil is an aquatic invasive plant that has recently been discovered growing in parts of the lake. The Montana Wilderness Society is in its 51st year of offering wilderness walks to places of special scenic interest across the state. Two of these walks are in the Glasgow area. The walks, guided by experienced outdoor people, are free, but the group number is limited and registration is required.
