For every Thunder swimmer that won a race in Scobey this past weekend, a new pool record was established. That's one of the benefits of competing in a newly constructed swimming pool. The Thunder hosted another successful swim meet this weekend, welcoming 268 swimmers from 10 communities to Glasgow. The Glasgow Kiwanis Thunder achieved another strong finish at the Malta swim meet this past weekend. After placing third at the first meet of the season in Harlem two weeks ago, they moved up a notch and brought home a second-place trophy. When I saw pictures of the Valley Bank minors team with their trophies, I had flashbacks. It seems like just yesterday my own daughter was playing baseball for Valley Bank and her team was celebrating their first-place win.
