The Scottie volleyball team picked up two more wins last week with matches against Poplar and Glendive. Glasgow defeated Poplar in four sets and avenged an earlier season loss against Glendive in four games. The Scotties picked up the road win against the Indians Oct. 18 after dropping the first set. The Scottie girls cross country team placed second at the Sidney Invitational Oct. 12 and the boys finished in fourth place. “Sidney went really well for us last Saturday - I was proud of all our kids! The Scottie volleyball team split their matches last week with a win over Harlem and a loss to Malta. Glasgow hosted the Harlem Wildcats Oct. 10 for the annual Pink Night for breast cancer awareness. The Scottie football team rolled over the Conrad Cowboys 43-6 at home Oct. 11. Oct. 8, the Mavericks traveled to Chinook to take on a Class B rival. They came up short but gained some important experience. The Scotties brought home a 48-6 conference win from Cut Bank Oct. 4 after rushing out to a 14-6 lead in the first quarter. The Scottie football team fell 48-26 in Malta Sept. 27 in a tightly fought battle. The Mustangs took the lead early in the game but the Scotties answered several times throughout to stay close until late in play. A late touchdown from the Mustangs secured the win over the Scotties.
