Willie Thibault, Glasgow High School’s vice principal, activities director and transportation director, will be moving on to become principal for Washington Middle School in Glendive in the fall. Thibault first got the idea of wanting to become a teacher in his junior year of high school. Glasgow Track and Field blew past the competition in the 2B District track meet held at Glasgow last weekend as the Scotties won both the boys and girls titles. Donnie Bailey and Steve Fauth competed at the State Special Olympics Games in Billings. On Wednesday morning they bowled at 8 a.m. Steve got a fourth place ribbon in his division and Donnie got a fifth place ribbon in his division. This week the top 10 from the Milk River Activity Center will travel to Billings to compete in the Special Olympics. It's been a solid two weeks of performances for the Nashua Track and Field team as they approach the 3C meet this week. Parents of the Hi-Line Babe Ruth League players were treated to the opening-weekend Early Bird Tournament in Scobey this past Sunday. Taekwondo Wins Medals On April 26th, three members from Glasgow Taekwondo attended the Karlo Fujiwara Memorial Taekwondo & Judo Tournament. The competitors, who were from Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming, competed in Poomse, Continuous Sparring, Board Breaking and Judo. Paddlefish season begins May 15 on the Yellowstone River below the mouth of the Bighorn River and Missouri River downstream of Fort Peck Dam. The Nashua Invitational track and field meet was held last week in Wolf Point and the Hinsdale Raider girls did well taking home a fifth place finish. Leading the way for the ladies was Bethany Lacock winning the high jump (4-10); the 100-meter (13.3); 100-meter hurdles (17); the triple jump (32-9) and the long jump (14-3). The Glasgow golf team hosted the Glasgow Invite last Friday and the Scotties didn't disappoint. The boys team edged out Malta by three strokes to take first in the event with a team score of 372. Luke Gunderson and Braden Barstad, Glasgow's two top golfers, scored an 83 and 97 respectively.
