  • Hinsdale Beats Scobey, Frazer, Stays On Top In 3C

    Virgil Vaupel, Courier Correspondent|Jan 21, 2015

Their perfect conference record on the line, the Hinsdale Raider boys took to the court to maintain their perfecto against the Scobey Spartans. Must have been a slow night for the Scobey girls because I saw Erin Wahl and several of the Spartan girls team in attendance along with the sparse crowd from Scobey. Hinsdale Raider Dallas Capdeville had an unselfish night giving up the ball to a team mate instead of shooting it himself. He tallied just 6 points, 6 rebounds and had 8 assists. He hit 1 of 2 from the line and nailed one three pointer. Wya...

    Jan 14, 2015

Brand spanking new Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke, left, already has that betting-on-sports-with-other-politicians thing down – and with House Speaker John Boehner, no less. Zinke, the former All-PAC 10 Oregon Duck, and Boehner bet on Monday's College Football Championship game. Zinke lost because Boehner's Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Ducks, and the Montanan had to wear an Ohio State tie – yep, that one right there....

Greg Liebelt, GHS Head Football Coach|Jan 7, 2015

The 2014 football season for the Glasgow Scotties was memorable and made a lasting impression on many both in and outside the community even though the team may have fallen short of the goals and expectations for the players, coaches and community. That being said, the Scottie football team officially concluded the 2014 season with their annual football banquet prior to the Christmas break. Overall, hunter numbers and big-game harvest were down. “In general, big game harvest was slower this year,” said Havre-area wildlife biologist Scott Hemmer. “This is likely due in part to the elimination of all Region 6 deer B licenses and buck-only harvest on the A-tag for mule deer. The weather this year also may have affected harvest. It was unseasonably warm at the beginning of the season, which may have reduced game sight...
