    The Glasgow softball team put two more Ws under its belt last week and is entering the Glasgow Softball Slam this weekend as the No. 2 team to beat, just one game back behind No. 1 Conrad. The first win came from defeating Glendive on the Red Devils' diamond, 9-6, on Tuesday, April 28.     The second track meet of the week for the Scotties was held in Wolf Point Saturday. The Cal Ripken League opened their season in late April; the softball girls traded winter caps for helmets as soon as the ground thawed.     Scottie girl golfers achieved their goal at the divisional meet held in Wolf Point on Monday. “Our goal was not to be the fourth place team, so we achieved that,” Coach Dave Riggin said. All five girls on the team qualified for state - Lauren Runningen with a score of 149, Heidi Moon with 139, Amy Nelson with 122, Tamrah Pewitt with 108, and Makkell Baillargeon leading the girls with a score of 103.     Glasgow boys and girls both came out on top in the team rankings at the Hinsdale Invitational track meet held at the Glasgow High School track this past weekend.     The Scottie softball team suffered their first conference loss to what many consider the top team in the division, the Conrad Cowgirls. The Cowgirls shut down the Scotties, 2-0, on April 25 at the Columbus Invitational Tournament. But not before the Scotties picked up three conference wins in Columbus, beating Huntley Project Lady Red Devils 10-4, Colstrip 16-8, and narrowly edging the tough Stillwater, 5-4.     Glasgow Scottie Amanda Wolff signed a NAIA National Letter of Intent last week to compete in both track and cross country for the Blue Hawks at Dickinson State University.     This year's Montana paddlefish seasons will again kick off on May 1 with the opening of the Upper Missouri River section from Fort Benton downstream to Fort Peck Dam.     Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks in Glasgow is conducting a pilot project to open Block Management Areas (BMAs) for spring turkey hunting along the Milk River. Up to 9 BMAs could be open for the spring turkey season, beginning April 11, and running through May 17. Most of the properties are located along the Milk River between Hinsdale and Nashua.
