Members of the Glasgow Highlander wrestling club will be traveling later this month to Billings to participate in the Osos Wrestling Camp. The camp will be held at Billings West High School’s main gym on July 28-30 and will feature University of Iowa wrestlers Matt McDonough, Derek St. John and Mike Evans. Justinn Marshall has had a love for riding horses all of her life. Growing up on a ranch in Saco, Marshall began riding at an early age. The 20th annual Longest Dam Race saw the most number of participants in the event's history according to Glasgow Chamber Executive Director Lisa Olk. "We had 308 participants last year and this year we had 408," Olk said. "It was a very well attended event and I don't know what brought the people out, but we are excited for the turnout." After a last-minute change of venue, the 4th annual Aaron Chatten Memorial Softball Tournament was a big success. The Glasgow Reds kicked off what is a grueling stretch of baseball with two outstanding wins at home against Miles City. The Reds took the first game of the doubleheader with a 11-0 victory. The Glasgow Kiwanis Thunder swim team participated in their second meet of the season at Malta in which the Thunder finished sixth in the team standings. On the individual side, the Thunder were once again led by swimmers Britt Fairclough and Jordan Kulczyk. Boat owners and operators are reminded that they are required to stop at a state-run aquatic invasive species check and cleaning station that will be operating in the Fort Peck Information Center parking lot from June 12 through the Labor Day weekend. The Glasgow Scottie softball team capped off an amazing season by finishing fourth in the State Tournament. Glasgow kicked off the tournament facing No. 1 ranked Ronan. The Reds swept a four-game series against Glendive this past weekend. The action started off in Glendive with the Reds taking the first game by the score of 4-2. Cat Classic weekend is coming. Tthe kickoff party will be on Front Street this Friday night, June 6. Festivities will start at 6 p.m in front of the Montana Bar. Highlights include the catfishing social, calcutta auction, and live on-stage music by the band, Trouble Expected. Auzzy's "Cook Shack" will have food available all night for the street dance.
